Community Visiting Scheme

Sometimes you may feel lonely or isolated, perhaps due to the loss of a partner, reduced mobility, or health challenges. To reduce loneliness and connect you to the community, there are community organisations that arrange people to visit older community members.
Some LGBTI community organisations provide trained volunteer visitors for older LGBTI people. Activities can include home visits, chats over a cuppa, listening to music, watching a movie, or participating in a hobby, game or other activity.
If there is no LGBTI-specific organisation locally, mainstream organisations may also be able to match you with suitable visitors.
